You can use Drag & Drop OCR to create screen shots of anything on your computer and then read the text and copy to clipboard and paste the text to any other application.

Drag & Drop OCR is designed to quickly create an image of embedded text or otherwise non-text editable from an image or anywhere on your desktop then read the text using (OCR)Optical Character Recognition then copies the text to clipboard allowing easy pasting and editing of text to recreate or save time typing.

PLEASE NOTE: OCR as a function is restricted to dark text on a lighter background and cannot read text that is light in color on a dark background.

Requirements Include: Microsoft Office 2003 or later must be installed on your PC for the OCR function to work.

 

Instructions:

 

Step 1.) Choose Name for image file

Step 2.) Click on Select Area For Image

Step 3.) Place your mouse slightly above and to the left of the area to be selected and press the "s" key. Drag your mouse to the bottom right of where you want your image to end and press the "s" key again.
 

Once your image is created Simply choose the OCR button and Your ORC Will be copied to clipboard and ready to paste.
